Little Free Library

IMAG1786_1Jason Lee Elementary now has it’s own Little Free Library.

  • Thank you to Kristi Herling, Jason Lee Elementary’s reading innovation teacher, for initiating the project.
  • Thank you to the Richland School District for installing it.
  • Thank you to the Jason Lee PTA for funding the project.

Stop by the our Little Free Library at the entrance of Jason Lee Elementary.  Please take a book for your reading enjoyment. Return that book or another book in the library for others to enjoy.

2017-2018 Yearbooks

Congratulations to our selected cover artists, Bella Brooks and Jodee Stevens.

The 72 page, full color, perfect bind yearbooks will be handed out Wednesday, June 6.  Extra yearbooks have been ordered and will be available for purchase during school at the front office and after school outside the main entrance until they are sold out.  Yearbooks are $15 or $12 for PTA members.

0cf0de00eb557bbea1f16a15ae714c74_time-change-clipart-12019-free-clip-art-images-freeclipartpw-time-change-fall-clipart_630-456The last PTA meeting for the 2017-2018 school year will be at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, June 5 7:00 pm on Thursday, June 7.   We are starting at 7:30 pm because there is a Kinder music program that evening and we don’t want anyone to miss out voting on our budget for the 2018-2019 school year.

We are moving our meeting to Thursday, June 7 at 7 pm to accommodate the RSD Principal interviews happening Tuesday, June 5th from 6 – 8 pm.

Please do come, we are voting on our budget for the 2018-2019 school year.  Thank you!

PTA Carnival & Silent Auction

Silent AuctionThe PTA Spring Carnival & Silent Auction is May 18.  It will be here before you know it.  Donations for the Silent Auction have started arriving.  Thank you to our donors who have already submitted their donations:  The Reach Museum, Tri-Cities Dustdevils, All American Gymnastics, Seattle Seahawks, Silverwood Theme Park, American Girl Store, GESA Carousel of Dreams, Wet Pallette Paint Party.

We can never have too many contributions to the silent auction. If you own a business or would like to donate, please contact Christina Humann. Each donation is tax deductible (a receipt can be provided upon request) and is an investment in your child’s education!

Your child’s teacher is also collecting donations for their grade-level theme basket.

There are lots of clearance books at the BOGO Book Fair that would be a great addition to the 5th grade basket.

Funds raised at the silent auction go to support classroom, family, and extracurricular events at Jason Lee Elementary.

Do you love the Book Fair?  Have you thought you might like to learn how to run the fall & spring scholastic book fairs?  The Jason Lee Elementary book fairs have been tended to by Becky Pospical and Kristina Weikum.  They’ve been thinking about training up new people who love books as much as they do to take over their legacy.   Send Becky an email, beckyp93@outlook.com, and sign up to hang out at the spring BOGO book fair to learn the ropes.
