There are lots of clearance books at the BOGO Book Fair that would be a great addition to the 5th grade basket.
Funds raised at the silent auction go to support classroom, family, and extracurricular events at Jason Lee Elementary.
Please have your donations into the school by May 16. Thank you for your support!
Do you love the Book Fair? Have you thought you might like to learn how to run the fall & spring scholastic book fairs? The Jason Lee Elementary book fairs have been tended to by Becky Pospical and Kristina Weikum. They’ve been thinking about training up new people who love books as much as they do to take over their legacy. Send Becky an email, email@example.com, and sign up to hang out at the spring BOGO book fair to learn the ropes.
The spring book fair arrives next week! We need help setting up Thursday after school and through the next week during school while it’s open for people to shop. Lots of help is needed to have a fun successful Book Fair. Please take a moment to sign up for a time to help at the book fair.
If you have not filled out the Richland School District Volunteer Application, please do so.
Thank you for being one of the many hands to make light work. Thank you for supporting the kids at Jason Lee Elementary.
Yearbook orders are due March 22.
Yearbooks are $15 or $12 if you are a PTA member.
Please make checks payable to Jason Lee PTA.
A limited number of yearbooks will be available for purchase after March 22 on a first come first serve basis. If you’re sure you want a yearbook, please get your order in now so you don’t miss out!
The Jason Lee Elementary yearbook is 72 pages of full color images from the 2017-2018 Jason Lee school year. Our PTA works with LEO’s Photography in Spokane to get the yearbooks put together and printed. After the pages for each class are pages featuring groups & special events that have happened through the year. The cover art is chosen from the submissions from 4th and 5th graders students at Jason Lee Elementary.
March 19-23 every child and staff member at Jason Lee Elementary will be given their very own (to keep) copy of “Dessert First,” by Hallie Durand. There will be a published schedule to read a set amount of chapters each day. In order to make the book accessible to all, there will be recordings of each chapter on the Jason Lee website.
A few volunteers are needed to come in during breakfast time, March 19-23, to read aloud to the students as they eat their breakfast. Chapters are short and only take about 3-5 minutes to read. If you want to read the assigned chapters for the day or partner/group up and share the readings that works. Please contact Kristi Herling (509-539-4270) or email Kristi.firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in reading at breakfast time.
This will be a great week to all read together!!
